VISION STATEMENT
The Odessa Music Teachers Association instructs music students of all ages to learn, excel, and enjoy the beauty of music.
The Association offers professional opportunities in performance, theory, composition, and competition.
Through the local Odessa Music Teachers Association, students and instructors will be affiliated with the state and nationally recognized organizations respectively of Texas Music Teachers Association and Music Teachers National Association and are afforded all of the opportunities provided therein.
OMTA sponsors a regional performance competition, state-sanctioned theory exams, state ensemble participation, local recitals, world music study, student affiliate and apprenticeship opportunities.
